Asma is a graduate of Villanova University, where she completed her Bachelor of Arts degree magna cum laude in political science and Arab and Islamic Studies and her Master of Arts degree in political science, with a concentration in international development and microfinance.
Asma has worked for OIC International since April 2009 as an intern, contributing to project and grant proposals, conducting research on microfinance, microenterprise, and workforce development programs. As a member of the program management team, Asma oversees program implementation and design.
Asma was formerly an intern with the Center for High Impact Philanthropy at the University of Pennsylvania, where she conducted research on key issues in philanthropy and international development, as well as the United Nations Association of Greater Philadelphia and the World Affairs Council of Philadelphia. Additionally, she has served as a volunteer English instructor for the Nationalities Service Center, and served as the secretary for Pi Sigma Alpha, the political science honor society at Villanova University. Asma is fluent in English, French and Arabic, and speaks some Spanish.
