Amber Rutland Jangha joins OIC International from the Export-Import Bank of the United States (Ex-Im Bank), where she was a Portfolio Manager in the Transportation Portfolio Management Division, managing a $6B+ portfolio of asset-backed loan guarantees to more than 20 African and European borrowers. Prior to her work at Ex-Im Bank, Amber completed an MBA Rotational Program in the Treasury and Financial Planning & Analysis departments at US Airways and was an Investment Officer at Modern Africa Fund Managers, a $110M private equity fund invested in Sub-Saharan African businesses. In addition to her portfolio management and finance background, she has also worked in research consulting at the Corporate Executive Board and helped to launch a clinic for abused children in Manila, Philippines with the Advisory Board Foundation (now known as City Bridge Foundation).
Amber was born and raised in Atlanta, GA but has lived in Washington, DC for more than 15 years. Amber received her BS in International Relations and Afro-American Studies at Brown University. She also pursued a dual-degree graduate program, receiving her MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurial Management from The Wharton School of Business and her MA in International Economics and African Studies from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS). Amber is married to Kweku Jangha, and they have two children, Kamali and Malik.
