Member : Dr. Brendan Horton
Dr. Brendan Horton has worked for the World Bank for more than two decades, today serving as a consultant. He joined the World Bank as a senior industrial economist in the Industry and Energy Division, Africa Region. At the World Bank, he has had lead responsibility for economic dialogue and work programs in a number of African countries, including the Democratic Republic of Congo, Republic of Congo, Burundi, and Rwanda. His work has involved design and overall management of numerous budget support operations, HIPC preliminary and decision point documents, public expenditure reviews, and design and implementation of a multilateral reengagement program.
Dr. Horton earned a PhD in economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he was recognized as a Kennedy Scholar; an MS in economics from the London School of Economics; and a BS in mathematics from the Imperial College of Science, University of London.
